Having been nominated in the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll, featured on Later… with Jools Holland, toured with Bon Ivor and written songs with Prince it’s no wonder a lot of people turned up to see Lianne La Havas play at Komedia as part of Brighton’s Great Escape festival.
This was one of those shows where I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. As a newcomer to Brighton Fringe I was unfamiliar to the Hurly Burly tent, beyond passing it on the bus and seeing a lot of children hanging around.

There was a lot of expectation at The Haunt for Violet, there were dozens of photographers huddled around the front of the stage and the place was full. Which isn’t all that unexpected since Violet is fronted by Pixie Geldof, daughter of Bob and model/celebrity/general ‘it’ girl.
